We drove out to Blue Run Park one day to hike and as we passed the fields of sunflowers.....
they were all in FULL bloom!
They were breathtaking!
Sunflowers as far as the eye could see.
After our hike, we stopped to take pics and buy some farm fresh veggies from Cannon Farms.
It was fun to see the families preparing to go out into the sunflower field.
This is the map that shows the maze you can walk in. (and yes, I heard them say they would spray them with bug spray)
And I asked this sweet lady if I could take photos of her daughter. Isn't she precious!
They were doing a photo shoot!
Thanks for all of the sweet comments about my 'shiner'. It's a pukey shade of yellow now not Sunflower yellow! heehee!
I'm thankful my eye is healing and I haven't had any headaches this week.
What are you thankful for?

...thanks for sharing the sunflowers that I will need to wait to see here. I find it amazing that people pay money to get lost in a corn field. I can get lost for free.
I sure would like to pick some of those sunflowers. Gorgeous photos of them and that little girl is absolutely adorable and she fits right in with your doll collection cuz she looks like a little doll. Love the pillow that she's sitting beside too and I would like to see a field of sunflowers I never have
Sounds like a fantastic day! Your photos are gorgeous and what a fun place to visit. So glad you haven't had any headaches this week too. Enjoy the rest of the week :)
What a gorgeous sunflower field! Glad your headaches went away!
Well how interesting - a sunflower maze!
Glad the headaches are gone

I've never seen a field of sunflowers. Wow, how beautiful! Imagine, a whole field of sunshine. I agree, the little girl is adorable. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous sunflowers and the sweet little baby! Oh, I would love to visit there. Thankful you are not having headaches and I hope your eye heals completely very soon. xoxo
Hello,
I love the sunflowers, they are my favorite. The baby is so cute.
The maze looks like fun, just watch out for the bees. I am glad your eye is healing. Have a great day!!
Sunflowers already? We don't see these till August. They are one of my favorites -- what a glorious site!

Oh how beautiful, all three: the sunflowers, the picture of you, and that darling sweet baby! That's what I'm thankful for today.... these pictures. Love, Andrea xoxo
Diane, I am thankful God hears our prayers. My sister just was admitted to the hospital and had a stent put in before she had a heart attack She will be home tomorrow and go back in two weeks for another stent. But I am thankful for her doing so well. Glad all is well with you. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
How fun..a sunflower maze...I've only been in one maze and I really did get lost.
Love the sunflowers so much. that's on my bucket list for next year...to have sunflowers in my yard.
Thankful for the everyday beauty.
Sue
I am thankful to know that you are feeling better! Those sunflowers are beautiful and that baby is adorable. I love shopping at farmer's markets. Happy Thursday!
I would enjoy a place like that. All those sunflowers, they're so pretty. I love sunflowers
Ahhh haaa...you answered the question I was going to ask. Sunflowers are such cheery flowers. Darling little girl with a pretty mommy!
I'm glad your shiner is now that pokey shade of yellow. That means it's healing!
And I'm also glad the headaches have gone away. Sometimes it's just a matter of drinking more water (gobs more, in my case). It's easy to forget that.
The sunflowers -- so beautiful! We have driven across Kansas in late summer when the vast fields of yellow sunflowers are all facing up to the sun. It's an incredible sight.
Beautiful sun flowers and what could be better than farm fresh produce and an adorable baby. xo Laura
I love sunflowers. I have seen a field of them once- many long years ago in West Texas. I was so amazed. Sorry to hear about your accident and I am so glad you are ok. I hope your headaches improve too. Have a good weekend!
Those sunflowers are gorgeous! What a fun place to visit!
Oh I do like those sunflowers. It will be quite a while yet before I see the blooms from the ones I planted. They are just about 6 inches now.
Such happy flowers.
Love those sunflowers! Looks like a beautiful day. Glad you're not headachey.

So glad you were finally able to get back out and enjoy the beauty of those magnificent sunflowers! Wow! What a treat! And that precious baby girl! She makes me smile too! That looks like such a neat place. I would love to go there, but we just haven't ventured that far yet. I love that they have a maze in the sunflower field. That is so cool!!! I think I'd like that even better than the corn maze! I am so happy to hear that your headaches have gone away and that your eye is healing! God is good!! Welcome back!
Me alegra que estés bien. Las fotos están preciosas. Un beso.
Just read your shiner story and the ironing of the pillow covers. You are lucky you didn't hurt your eye more. I've never had one either. I've given the duvet matching pillow covers a run over with the iron when on the bed...how lazy is that.
Adorable child and setting there. What a great outing for you both. We have sunflower farms here too and I love to see how the flowers all face the same way...I guess they follow the sun. Sunflower seeds are what I put in the feeders and also in my salads. A wonderful thing.
The sunflowers re gorgeous. I had to go catch up with your escapades. Glad you weren't hurt worse than a shiner. Love the bird pictures. I laughed about you ironing pillowcases....um I iron my pillowcases, and sheets too, sometimes.
Super photos, and I think that poor baby doesn't like the straw...grins, but she sure was cute. Hugs, and glad you are safely healing that was quite the shiner!
Beautiful sunflowers, they are such a cheerful colour.
All the best Jan
I’m glad you’re better!
