Did you ever try to 'get ahead'?

I'd be satisfied right now with 'keeping up'! heehee! I didn't get on the computer much over the weekend but it was for good reasons! It's hiking weather in Florida!

Scrub Lupine

It was 70 degrees yesterday when we hiked. My hubby is determined to get into better shape and he's trying to 'drag' me along! lol He wants to hike more often, at a faster pace and longer distances. I'm always ready to GO though and we are having a great time getting out on the trails.

These are just a few fun bumper stickers and signs we see in the parking lot on cars.

These were on the trail.

And what do you think about this JEEP?

Look at the door handles! They are lavender!

I drive a nice car but it's not new. (and it can go very fast but of course it usually doesn't)

Jeeps are very popular here in Florida! Sometimes I think I 'need' one but I haven't even ridden in one yet. My little car gets me where I want to go so I guess I'll keep it for another 10 years! lol

Do you walk fast...or drive fast? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I walk fast and always have, but there is a difference in walking speed if I have access to anything with shutterspeed. we don't walk together now, bob needs knees and will not so can't walk more than 1/2 mile at slow speed. love the jeep and the sign on it... our niece and her hubby have his and her jeeps and they are in their 60's.. not kids. I drive the speed limit that is posted.. but am always the first out of every light.

I neither walk nor drive fast. I’d tell hubby to go ahead without me. When you see him returning, just turn around and head back yourself. He’ll probably beat you to the parking lot anyway. My girlfriend had a Scout (jeep) and how I loved it. It could navigate any terrain and any rough weather. Those were the days!

Sounds like you are having great weather for hiking! I don't drive or walk fast lol.

I have a Jeep, not as fancy as the one you found there. I love to drive it on my land and in the canyon, but other than that, I think it's for young folks. And not for freeway driving, and not in high winds, which we have a lot of here.

I'm glad you're enjoying our Florida weather. I love getting up to blue skies. The stickers on cars are great fun. I know you LOVE the lavender door handle. Hope you week is wonderful!

Your title got me. I am always trying to get ahead but always seem to be a bit behind. I drive a truck and will keep it for a good while. It is 5 years old. I will reevaluate whether to keep driving a truck in 5 years. I love it but I wonder if I will as I get older. I can not go back to a smaller car. I was in a wreck and kind of almost have a phobia about being low and little. Jeff bought a very very old Jeep a few years ago. I literally thought he was nuts. At the time, I figured it was better than a sports car. We have all grown to love that Jeep. We took the back seat out and put a mat down and now it is the dog mobile. WE love it in the summer to go for drives with the top off. I have even thought I might like one of those you pictured when I decide to quit driving a truck. However, I won't have the big wheels. I will doll it up a bit. AND YES, this weather has me wanting to hike as well.

I happen to like the jeeps. Not the new ones, the older ones. Most of the new ones don't look like Jeeps. Enjoy your walking and have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Oh htose lavender door handles are so cute!! My car is 14 years old so I baby it. It is a Toyota Sienna and it has 150,000 miles on it and I am proud of that! I think it has a good many more miles before I need a new one.

...Jeeps are EVERYWHERE here on Maui, some are so tall that they can drive right over you!

I'm with you, Diane, just trying to keep up! Given a choice, I would much rather spend time outside hiking than in front of the computer … What a cool Jeep - and when's the primary for Sasquatch? Sign me up! I tend to stick to the speed limit, but I am a very fast walker! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

I do both, walk and drive fast. You might remember I had a red corvette that I sold last year.

The weather in New York has been gorgeous, too. I walked over six miles on Saturday and over four miles today. Not hiking, but great exercise.

LOL... I don't walk fast or even slow very well. I do tend to have a heavy foot and am thankful for cruise control!

Girl, you and your hiking! You put me to shame! I need to try and get out there and do more. (cry baby face) Maybe since we have more daylight in afternoons I can now. Working PT still and activities with the grands seems to keep me so busy. Loving this weather though. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I need someone to drag me along on hikes, I haven't been very successful at getting myself motivated.

Pretty flowers!
Lavender door handles, and on a Jeep - now that's someone I would like to know!
Hope you are having a great week!

Yes, I tend to walk fast when I'm out doing shopping and errands. That is a cool jeep, and the lavender handles are perfect for you. It's great hiking weather now, so I'm sure you will do a lot of walking on the trails coming up. Jeeps are such a cute and sturdy vehicle, and I've always loved them.

That sounds like perfect weather--not too hot or cold! I am a fast walker by nature but I don't walk more than 2 to 3 miles usually. I find that is my limit. Jeeps are also popular here as there are many "off-road" opportunities.

Hello,

Your weather sounds perfect for walking. We are trying to walk more, I try to walk briskly. Unless I stop for photos. I love all the signs, the jeep is nice. But, I like my car for now. I do not speed while driving. I do not want a speeding ticket. I hope you are having a great day!

You always find interesting things to see on your hikes - even bumper stickers! I am a fast walker, and so is my husband. I am a faster driver than he is and I'm trying to slow down and really stick to the speed limit, but it's so HARD! When we walk, I'll stop and take photos and sometimes tell him to carry on and I'll catch up, but then I have to RUN!

I like the Sasquatch for President sticker. LOL
Look at those tires on that Jeep. I need those for the snow in Wisconsin. Hee Hee!

We are a two Jeep family. My husband and I both drive Jeeps. Purple is my favorite color with turquoise as a close second. I love that Jeep and have talked about adding purple accents to mine.
LOL we are opposite. I'm dragging my husband out to walk and hike, he can go farther and faster than I can but he doesn't enjoy it like I do.
The pollen has started here so I won't be doing it as much until that calms down or I'll be down in the bed sick.
