Have courage...look UP!

I appreciate all the words of wisdom and encouragement I'm reading on all of my favorite blogs.

(I'm thankful for good coffee and lots of good books to read!)

Thanks to all of my blog buddies for taking the time to blog a little extra to stay in touch!

We are still getting out to hike but now a few of the trails are closed. The trails we hike don't have a lot of people on them though so it's a good way for us to get outside and get some exercise. We've only seen 1 person on the trails on two of our hikes this week and the last hike, we saw 2 horses with riders. (this number isn't down, this is normal for these trails)

I'm sharing some of the views from ABOVE today!

How about going out in your hang glider this week?

Or out for a ride in your airplane?

I guess we'll stick to the trails!

(the two horses we saw yesterday)

Have you been able to get some fresh air and exercise?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

I like Thursdays HERE too!

Not as much as I’d like. That’s it! I’ll take my walking stick and try to make it around the block. I have had some windows open ajar for some fresh air. Your views are very pleasant up, down, and all around.

Getting outside is the tonic we all need. I really feel for people who live alone in small apartments. They must seem totally isolated. We are still able to get out and walk, but apart from that we can talk to neighbours over the fence. The kids next door bounce up and down on their trampoline and play a game of talking to us as they clear the height of the fence. We are fortunate indeed.

I have never understood why people want to hang in the air from gliders and such. but it sure makes pretty photos and also is easy social distancing. the horses ae beautiful and appear to be at least 6 feet apart.. proper distancing. yes we go walking with Big, and spend a lot of time in the yard. Bob more than me.. he has been hacking stuff back every day to fill the hours. I am dancing to at least 3 songs a day in addition to walking

Hello

We try to get out for a walk every day, weather permitting. It's been wet here lately. I am thankful for the good coffee and good books too.
Love your shadow shot and the hang glider photos. Take care! Wishing you a happy day!

I too have been reading my book and drinking good coffee. I make Starbucks coffee for all of us now twice a day! We are saving so much money doing this. It’s nice you get for walks. I walk with my dog each day. I Also did 2 Zumba classes on Zoom with my gym buddies this week. I try to keep moving. I am also cooking a lot in the past two weeks. I hope you enjoy the weekend.

I have been walking around my yard and garden watching it slowly come back to life after a long cold winter!

Love the picture with the horses. And Florida trees are amazing.

I've been walking my dogs a bit more- people are out in my neighborhood but mostly in their yards. We wave from the middle of the street! The weather has been lovely here though and I love seeing the neighborhood flowers blooming as we walk!

Its so nice by you :) I wish I only walk around with my dog but then again I live in the city and I don't want to go out :(

Yes it is important to get some fresh air as we are all sheltering in place. I am thankful that I can walk in my neighborhood.

Love the blue sky pictures …
Yes, we have been able to get out for a walk, while staying sensible in the present conditions. I should take some photographs because the spring flowers are looking pretty :)

All the best Jan

As I'm typing this, hubs is out working in our yard (I'm not sure what he's doing, but I think he just likes being outdoors). I may go for a walk today. I tend to be an indoors girl, but the sun is shining and beckoning a bit. Thanks for sharing the fun post and photos!

I love the photos. Pogo and I get to stand on my little porch for a while for some fresh air. Pretty soon, when it warms up more, we'll be able to sit out there for a while. Stay safe, and have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

...good advice, but how do you tell good coffee from bad?

We went to Sam's Club today. It was crowded, as usual. Lovely pictures!!

Drink good coffee and read good books! Great advice!
Libraries here are closed, so I am re-reading some old favorites from when I bought books instead of checking them out.
And today we have sunshine so I can get outside - flowers are blooming and birds are singing!

Hello from down the block,
I love your photos! Wish I could ride that contraption in the sky! Love it!! It is pretty quiet at this end of the street. I see my neighbor's walking their dogs, and the man across the street washing his car windows! A beautiful Cardinal stopped on my bush out my kitchen window, and a couple yellow butterflies fluttered by too. I hear some lovely songbirds sing along with my music on the radio! Stay safe!

Such a beautiful parachute, Diane! I don't think I'd be so brave to do that! I did spend some time outside in the sun today and it felt good!

I am glad to hear you are able to get out on some of the trails. Being outdoors really is food for the soul. Stay well and thank you for stopping by my blog this week. Our social online connections are so important right now.

We've been trying to get out and walk most days. It's a quiet road in a quiet neighborhood, and wave at neighbors as we pass. Quite the hang glider! Pretty area.

I love all your surprising sky views, Diane! We've been going out every day to walk. It helps us feel better during this difficult time.

It would be easy to practice social distancing when up in the air in a glider or balloon, but I think I'd just rather stay home. I'm getting out most days for a good walk or two. I might meet one or two people, but that's it. Stay well, Diane.

We’ve been doing some gardening and yard work every day. It makes life seem more normal if we can do inside and outside projects!
Glad you are still going on your hikes! Beautiful pictures and thank you for sharing!

nothing so exotic but we're walking around the'hood, trying to avoid others doing the same. Beautiful pics

Wow can you imagine hanging from one of those kite/balloon/parachute thingies while WAAAAY UP there in the sky??!!? Ha ha LOL! Dont think I'd want to try that! The people on the pretty horses look like they are having fun. So glad you're still able to get on some trails. Our state and county parks have closed as well as access to most of the good beaches so that has cut down on some of our hikes...we are content with short city walks for now....better than none at all, right? We just try to go at the least "busy" times as many are out (we are permitted) to be outside for exercise and it can get a bit crowded and we need to be careful and mindful of staying a good distance from each other. Most everyone is complying nicely. Getting outside makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in my outlook, the fresh air and sunshine really lifts my spirits. Are things mostly all closed up where y'all live? Most all things here are. Open are pharmacies, gas stations, and groceries. Hugs my friend!

it's so good to see you diane, i am so happy you have been able to continue your walks. we have been able to do some yard work and we went for one bike ride. we are now on lock down in new jersey, which means we are not suppose to leave our homes. our beaches are closed, our boardwalks are closed and many of the parks!!!

hang gliding is not my thing but if it is allowed, well, i might try it!! it's always fun to see horses on the paths!!

stay well!!!

So glad that you are able to find some peaceful and private hiking trails. Here in WA state, so many people are taking to the trails that they are having to close some of them down and people are getting lost. I've been getting outside in the gardens as much as I can, but the weather has turned rainy and cold this week. I can't even imagine hang-gliding. Funny story - my son tried it once - a tandem glide with an instructor and he lost his whole lunch all over the instructor. Not funny for him :( Wonderful photos - love the horses! Hugs xo Karen

Oh, hand gliders! Now that's a good way to do some "social distancing". Not too many people up there with them! LOL. I think I will be like you and enjoy them from below. And the horseback riders...that's a great way to get out and enjoy a beautiful day too. However, it's been so long since I've been on a horse I am afraid I wouldn't be able to walk for a while after getting off a horse (even IF I could get ON a horse to begin with!) LOL. Yes, like you, I will stick to walking. Right now still just walking around our yard, but enjoying it as much as possible. Praying for some rain, however. Our little pond is going to dry up if we don't get some rain consistently and soon! Hopefully the geese will stay around. Take care and enjoy these beautiful days. It will be hot today, however, but I see next week looks a little bit cooler again. That will be nice. God bless you and stay healthy.

NO to the glider, keep my feet on the ground.
YES to the cup of coffee and a good book or a favorite blog full of pictures when the library is closed.

That is a pretty and colorful glider. I've seen someone doing this at a nearby park. I think they are called Fan powered parachutes, but not sure. That one looks like a rainbow in the sky....wonderful! Those horses are beauties. Your Thankful Thursday posts always warm my heart, Diane.
