'Playing' at home!

Staying at home? I'm pretty much a home body anyway so I don't mind being at home a little more (as long as I can get out on the trails and hike some too).

I spent a little time in my boxes of Spring decorations and added a few things here and there.

And redressed Noel in a pretty pink dress.

It's hard to feel lighthearted at this time but I'm staying busy and praying for everyone.

Hubby gave me the cutest card for our anniversary this month. I hope you can see it well enough to read it! (the card on the bottom in the center is the one I gave him)

I appreciate my fellow bloggers that are sharing 'stay at home' ideas. What are you doing to stay busy? My husband does volunteer work for our community from home so he has been super busy. Thanks to everyone who's helping to make a difference during this difficult time. Thanks hubby! 😘

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I am not a collector but your little stove makes me want it. so cute. love the card and it made me smile. I am trying to stay upbeat and manage it most of the time, but everynow and then a little fretting leaks out and I worry a little..

oh, your sweet little Noel, all dressed up and nowhere to go. Isn't that the way of us all these days. Sunday generally are tough for me anyway and yesterday was no exception. It's Monday morning and I must make sure I don't fall into a slump. Prayers for us all. Hugs to my blog buddy.

That is a cute card! Happy belated anniversary. 💕

It is good to stay positive, to pray, and to stay busy. You’ve got it all covered.

Your decorations are sweet. I have projects I should start but I have been pretty lazy so far. I hope to get motivated soon! I worry but that won't help so we will just have to wait and see and hope for the best. Your blog helps cheer me up as your posts brighten my day! Thank you!

So cute. I think you've found an ideal way to keep busy while brightening up the homefront. Thank goodness we can still get outside to walk or hike. That's great that your hubby can continue to serve the community from home.

Diane, I was getting out my Easter things as well and I came across the book you sent to me called Easter Chimes. It has a dark aqua color and the name and bells in white. I placed it on my tea cart with my bunnies. Love seeing your doll babies!!

I love the dolly and other things. I've missed coming by to visit and see how you are doing. There is still a warning when I click on your blog shortcut, but today I decided to come anyway. I'm glad to see you're doing fine. Stay safe and have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Thanks to your hubby. Today I am working on my bedroom. Just cleaned the ceiling fan. Definitely not as fun as playing with dolls, but I will do that on FaceTime later this week with my granddaughter. xo Laura

Fun love story card from your husband!
I am thinking the best way we can help each other is to give to food banks, food pantry type organizations. With so many places closing, a lot of people are without a paycheck and will be needing food. Those of us with the means to give, should give!
Have a blessed day!

First of all, Happy Anniversary to you! Love that card your hubby gave you. That is so cute! It's fun to get funny cards rather than the mushy ones all the time. LOL. Although mushy is nice too. Love your pretty spring chicks and dolls. The lovely doll Noel...interesting, I love that name, and if I had ever had a girl I was going to name her Robyn Noel...but we had 3 boys instead, so that's another story...and probably why I collect dolls because I couldn't give dolls to my boys and had no little girls to play with. I love your sweet dolly at the end too, Wendy? She looks so sad, but so very sweet. You just want to pick her up and hold her. I'll bet you do. Thank you for sharing your at home times. I love it. Hiking is great, but home is where the heart is...and it is fun and sweet to see the things of your heart shining through! Have a blessed day my friend.

You both have the right ideas/and attitude! Being positive thinkers & keeping busy passes time & maybe if we all follow your thoughts we'll get thru this!

Thanks for dropping by Hootin'Anni's (that was a nice surprise!)

Diane - it is so important to keep ourselves busy, for our mental health. Tonight hubby and I will be cooking red beans and rice with Andouille sausage. Later in the week we plan to dust all of our interior logs - a four-hour process that involves a TALL ladder. New birds are arriving every day, so I am enjoying birdwatching. And I bit the bullet and paid for one month of Ancestry.com so I can do some family research! Love your anniversary cards - happy anniversary!!! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday and stay well!

happy Belated Anniversary to you and your hubby! The cards are adorable.
Noel looks so cute in her pretty pink dress, Diane. She's my kind of girl, by being in her kitchen. I cleaned my kitchen and family room today, did a kickboxing video and a yoga video, and made some oatmeal raisin cookies. We have to stay busy and productive. Hugs are sent to you!

I'm staying very busy and easily occupying myself. I'm trying to blog daily, walk every day and I've added a lot of cooking to my agenda. I'm in touch with friends -- lifesaver now -- and have at least one scheduled Zoom meeting or friends get-together daily. "Met" with a group of friends for cocktails via Zoom at five and then to a prayer service via Zoom for a friend's mother who passed away. I was so glad I could "be there" for my friend, even if it was virtual.

Oh! I love your sweet Springtime decorations! Would you come and decorate my house? Noel is precious...you make me want to get a doll for the first time in my life especially with all the props you display with your dolls. So cute!
I love the card your husband got you! Adorable! I've never seen one like that but it's a dandy! Happy Anniversary!
As for what I'm doing? Not anything different than usual...I have been self-isolating for years now! LOL!

Did you sew Noelle's dress? It's darling. I'm fixated on the rick rack. I love the name and the way it rick racks. I still have a bunch of packages from long ago. I wonder what fun I can do with them. Take care, Diane. :-)

I'm glad you're staying positive and playing around your house and finding things to do, Diane. I was a stay at home mom for many years, so staying home is second nature to me. Noel looks so cute in her Pink dress. That's a good idea to brings out your Spring decorations. Those Pink chicks on the stove are too cute.

Happy Anniversary! Stay well, dear friend.

Look how much fun your little girls are having. I had a stove just like that one. It had a light bulb inside that made heat---and if you made thin cookies, or tiny cakes, eventually it would bake...circa 1954 ish ...so much fun. Sweet post, thanks for the nostalgia trip!
