The Trail to Shangri-La!

Yes, it really is a trail that we hike!

Hike #32 to Shangri-La!

It's wooded and quiet and peaceful.

And even when we don't see much....

we have a good walk and enjoy what nature has to offer.

It's always a plus when we see wildlife.

This deer was very close when we looked to the side of the trail. And as you can see by my banner, he ran across the trail in front of us!

Always a new trail to discover!

And beauty along the way!

I'm thankful for the forests here in Florida! What are you thankful for today?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

Lovely hike!! So wonderful to see that deer leap in front of you!! You are blessed to see them in nature up close and personal like that! I miss our deer that we used to have in our yard and on our walks when we lived in Salt Springs. But I love seeing what you are seeing on your hikes...that helps me not miss it so much! Beautiful pictures today. Thank you for sharing.

Aren't I silly to think there are no forests in Florida? I associate Florida with coastlines, white beaches, big winds, and seashells. I'm glad that I know better now. :-)

Always great to see deer!
Love the butterfly. Is it a Zebra Swallowtail? I have seen only one, and that was several years ago, so I am not sure.

I enjoyed your Walk, too. Its sometimes necessary to find calm. Where else than on such lovely way.

I wish you a very good time.

I wish we had trails like that but not in this part of the state. But there's beauty everywhere if you pay attention and walking allows you to slow up and notice more things. Pretty butterfly!

It's Friday evening as I leave this comment. What am I thankful for? Among many things, I'm thankful for the photos you post from your hikes. I haven't seen a deer in ages. What a treat to have one cross your path!!

Oh, those deer! I haven't seen one outside in a long while. Love the new banner and that sweet bird at the top!

The deer and the yellow bird - two beautiful sights this week. The deer is such a gentle and sweet animal. I am always in awe whenever I see one. And it's been a long time since I have. We used to see them at the park at our old house, but since we moved, no deer sightings yet. What a blessing it is to have seen one, Diane. : )
