Rainbows and Butterflies

We are in our summertime pattern here in Florida. It's hot and humid and we have little pop up showers come in the afternoons. They don't last long but they water the grass and plants so they are very welcome. I just wish they cooled things off too but that's a little 'too' much to ask!

I love looking out and seeing the rain falling in the distance.

Maybe it's on the way here!

Which way is it moving? heehee

And then there are the rainbows we frequently see.

This one was SO vibrant! A double rainbow!

Colorful....and spectacular!

I inserted the little butterfly in the photo at the beginning. I actually saw this Gulf Fritillary on one of my hikes.

Have you seen something beautiful this week? Look UP!!!

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

I like Thursdays HERE too!

Wow, your photo of the double rainbow is really something! We saw one last Friday on our way to the lake, but I couldn't get a good photo with the car moving and my cellphone.

Pretty butterfly, too!

Gorgeous photos! And I really really love the last one with the butterfly inserted. Looking up is a favorite thing to do in Florida and I always enjoy seeing those moving rain storms but not the lightning

How beautiful the sky is in every picture! Even when there's clouds there's something beautiful to see, if you look. A good thing for all of us to remember, eh. Love, Andrea xoxo

Diane, your storm approaching photos are great! The beautiful double rainbow is so lovely. I've seen many beautiful things this week, but the standout was a doe and her baby fawn on the trail.

It's beautiful there - that's for sure! Just hot here in texas but not AS hot as last week. We are just hanging on for August to be done! It is brutal every year!

Oh how wonderful to see the double rainbow! That was gorgeous, and your butterfly is perfect. Yes, we are in our summertime weather pattern. Praying those tropical storms go away and don't do any harm this weekend. I don't mind the afternoon storms, but please, no hurricanes!
Lovely pictures!!

What a beautiful rainbow! And it's always a gift when we see one, in person or unexpectedly on the computer or somewhere else. The butterfly is precious too. Glad you have showers throughout the day. Nel said when she lived in Georgia, they came every day in the Summertime, and lasted a short while.

Have a restful weekend, Diane.

These pictures are fantastic. How amazing that the rain looks like a curtain and you can see where it stops (or begins) The rainbow is beautiful.
