I'm still having fun with my new camera, even when I stay close to home. ( Canon Powershot SX70 HS)
This White Peacock butterfly was in my front yard.
I walked around the yard and took pics of my roses.
I found a few Magnolia blooms in my neighbor's tree.
I had to look straight up to the top of the tree to find them.
And I looked up in the sky to see the beautiful clouds.
We are having good weather so far. Hopefully the storm will not cause any major damage here in the US. So far, so good!
Another neighbor has a lime tree that is loaded with limes! I wonder if they would miss one...or two! lol I keep trying to catch them outside so that I can ask. They do look tempting though, don't they?
Gulf Fritillary Butterfly
And of course I've taken my camera out for 2 hikes already so I have more photos to share. Butterflies are in abundance at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve.
Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly
Do you have many butterflies this year?
We have lots of them in Florida right now!
I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio too!

Hello Diane,
Great photos from your new camera. I love the beautiful butterflies.
I am sure your neighbors would not mind if you take a lime off the tree. I would love to grow a lime or lemon tree. The Magnolia blooms and roses are beautiful. Love the sky mosaic and images. Take care and stay safe! Enjoy your day, have a happy new week!
Wow, you sure are having a great time with your new camera. Awesome photos. We don't have very many butterflies here, at least in my yard. I'm glad to see so many of them where you are. Your mosaics are beautiful. Keep on shooting! Hugs, Edna B.
We don't have any butterflies in our backyard us because they all flew over to visit you. Your photos are absolutely beautiful and I always get so excited when I get a new camera. I have a Nikon sx60 but rarely use it anymore because I don't go anywhere and I just used the cell phone around the house
Diane, I am loving the pictures. All those beautiful butterflies. ...love them. I have lots of butterflies around here this year but not many bees. I like that Gulf Fritillary , i have never seen one of them before. Stay safe there, praying you have no storms. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
...keep having fun!
I am sure that your neighbours would be happy to share their limes with you!
Your photos are always so gorgeous! Enjoy your new camera and have a great week! :)
Hi Diane,
Funny you should ask about the butterflies, in the garden of our new home there are two large buddleia bushes and they are now in full bloom with wonderful deep purple flowers. We have many Red Admiral butterflies visiting them every day but sometimes they fly into the house and I have to gently capture and then release them back outside.
Happy MM
Maggie
I would say you are mastering that new camera Diane.
Your butterfly pics are fantastic! We see some at West Creek park sometimes.
Ohhhh the butterfly photos!!!!!!!!!
Wondering if you are in the path of whatever is coming to FL?
Wishing you safety.

You live in such a pretty neighborhood ...your own yard is the best one! I don’t think I’ve ever seen limes growing. How can that be? Lemons, all kinds of oranges , grapefruit, all those little citrus fruits , yes, but never limes. They really do look tempting. I am so glad the storm I(however you spell it) seems to be passing by safely.
love your flowery mosaics. Surprised to see Magnolia this time of year. Where I live they were fading 2.5 months ago. Beautiful flowers all of them.
How lovely. Have fun with your new camera. Thanks for dropping by my blog today
Much🌼love
Pretty pretty pictures! Yes, we have a lot of butterflies, the varieties I don't have a clue... but they mostly congregate on our butterfly bush. So light and free. Love, Andrea xoxo
Lovely, lovely butterflies, Dawn. They are amazing. Here we have less and less butterflies... it's sad. Your new camera seems to be very good. Have fun with them.
The nail polish is indeed blue. 🤗 The blue is one of my favorite colours.
Stay healthy and well.
Happy MosaicMonday
How nice to have a new camera to take such lovely photos. I always enjoy looking at the flowers and the butterflies. The lime tree is so nice! I hope you stay safe from the hurricane. We will get a lot of rain tomorrow from the storm. Stay safe and be well and thanks Diane for blog visit to my beauty blog post.
I love your new camera - the close-ups are wonderful. Love all the butterflies!
What beautiful pictures! Loving them all. You done an awesome job lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
You're having fun with that new camera. All your photos are beautiful

I hope your neighbor shares some of those luscious limes with you, Diane! Your butterflies and flower photos are beautiful. I have been lazy and have been using my cell phone for photos this summer. I haven't fired up the "big camera" for a while, and really should.
great new photos with a new camera--
for some reason I especially love that first photo--
can't explain why--it is just a really super great shot--
thanks for sharing--
luv, di
The butterfly shots -- such detail. What a stunning collection, Diane!
terrific butterfly pictures.
I'm sure your neighbor wouldn't mind if you took a lime or two, I know I wouldn't if they were my trees!
Diane - I have been keeping an eye on the storm and thinking about my Florida buddies! Stunning butterfly pictures. Do you have an app that you use to identify them? Or another source? (We have loads of butterflies, especially on the bee balm.) I love magnolias, especially the luxurious aroma! Those limes do look lip-smacking good - what would you do with two limes? Thanks for linking up to Mosaic Monday, my friend!
Lovely photos, as always! I'm glad you are having fun with your new camera! I don't think your neighbors would miss a few limes but perhaps you could get even more if you ask nicely! (smile)
You have a variety of butterflies, I'm so glad. I remember a lot more variety when I was a kid. Now, it's mostly white butterflies. I haven't seen that many butterflies around the house this summer, unless they come when I'm not out. I hope that's the case. There's only one very small open field left in the area, and that one is up for sale.
Beautiful colourful shots. When we left our RV in Arizona in late February I left my camera inside. We planned to return at the end of March and I figured there wouldn't be much picture taking in between and my iPhone could carry me through. Well, you know what happened with that thinking. My phone does okay until I try to zoom in. - Margy
Lovely images. The collages look great!
Hello Diane,
Congratulations with your new camera.
Nice pictures of the butterflies. Great colors.
And the flowers are so nice too.

Oh my...those limes do look good! Maybe you could offer to bake them a key lime pie if they give you some limes. (I know, they aren't the same kind of lime, but they taste the same if you ask me). I love your new photos...and yes, butterflies are definitely out there. I see them flitting around the pond, but I can't get to them to take their picture. Your flowers /magnolia blossoms are wonderful. I am glad you are having fun with your camera! When my brother gave me my first digital camera it opened up a whole new world to me. And here I am. Have a blessed week.
You've shared some great photographs from your new camera, I enjoyed seeing them :)
All the best Jan
I like your new camera, great photos. I like the ones of the limes. I love limes. Pick one for me if you catch them outside to ask. ;-) Tell them your pal in Wisconsin would like to taste a fresh lime from Florida.
Hee Hee!!
Stay safe my friend!
Nice snaps. Regarding your neighbor's limes, this is the perfect time of year for making limeade.
Hi, we do have quite a few butterflies, but my old camera can never focus fast enough, lol. And, I a doofus as to setting it on anything other than automatic. Love all your photos, not a favorite of the prism things, though I'm sure they are fun to play with. Diagonal lines are extremely active to the eye/psyche and in combination with relaxing, lovely images a conflict in my head. But, by all means continue to experiment and learn. Maybe you can do a tutorial on those...grins, Sandi
I have a Canon Powershot too! Don't ya love the zoom-in lens? Your photos are wonderful, Diane. The red roses in your yard are so pretty. And I've always loved the magnolia blossom. It's such a BIG flower, and the details are stunning. The butterfly is beautiful. Enjoy your new camera. : )

I thought of you this evening. I walked out to the garden and there was a hawk standing in the garden by the tomatoes drinking water from the drip line. I was so surprised and of course my phone was in the house so I didn't get a photo.
Las fotografías te quedaron muy bien. Las mariposas se ven muy bonitas. Besos.
