Let’s Stop to Smell the Roses

Here in Florida we have flowers blooming year round.

See that big window, let’s peek out there!

Our roses are beautiful right now, as well as the Pentas

and even a Vinca that came up volunteer!

I love looking through the glass block window in the bathroom and seeing red roses.

And I spend a lot of time in the lanai and enjoy the roses in those flower beds too.

Let’s peek out the window behind the sofa!

A few decorations here and there.

I don’t over do it but I do enjoy vintage decorations and handmade items.

I really love your glass block window view. the first thing I do when the light comes up outside is open all the blinds and let the sunshine in and enjoy looking out. from every point in every room of our house we can see trees and flowers and bushes and nature... I would love to have glass block in my master bathroom window...

Yes, looking at flowers makes the day better. I think if I lived where it was cold I would buy them to sit around. They do make you feel better. I definitely have veered to my older Christmas decor that has memories attached to them. I love that quilt.

The flowers are so pretty and fun to enjoy even in wintertime. Love your decorations too.

I love the Christmas season but to be honest, in January I am ready to put it all away, do a good cleaning and decluttering as I prepare for a new year. Vincas are some of my favorite flowers so I enjoyed seeing the pretty one you shared Diane.

I definitely miss my roses...that I had to remove. But I have some vincas that popped up, and the hibiscus are still going strong, here in southern California.

Nice!

The joys of Florida, year round flowers. I've got my decorations up and maybe (just maybe) I will finally take some photos and post. Gosh life is so busy I can't seem to fit everything in. Hugs to you Sis!

I agree your linai looks very inviting. Nice that you still have so many flowers blooming. I plant those Pentas here in the summer. Thry can even stand the 100 degree temps....Good for you hiking this time of year. Does running in all directions count.....Whew this holiday is tiring me out! Janey

Diane - I love the effect of looking through the glass block at the flowers - very artsy! I used to have a lot of vinca volunteers in my garden - I loved their greenery as much as I did the flowers! Enjoy your weekend!

You have everything looking gorgeous, and festive! Love your roses! I have two small rose bushes in full bloom as well, one deep red and one orange/coral. Also bright yellow mums and the azalea bushes and camellias have many blooms. I spotted that pretty little mermaid on the side of your tub!!--she is adorable! It's almost the weekend already!!--the days are counting down! Do you have any family coming for Christmas? We dont other than our daughter and granddaughter who also live here in Charleston. So I dont' have to worry about getting my house deep clean or doing up a guest room or anything like that. Any decorating I do for us and for granddaughter. It makes our holidays alot less stressed as it means less cooking etc. too. I make a simple ham supper for Christmas, nothing too fancy or time consuming!! LOL

I have a tiny Christmas tree up and a string of lights - and that's it for Christmas here. Sadly there is no sign of outside my door. We lived in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area before moving here, so seeing your plants made me a little homesick and nostalgic. Happy Holidays to you!
